Before the days of email, facebook, and blogs good old fashion mail was used to communicate with friends and family. For the USS Kaskaskia 1965 Mediterranian crusie Captain Charles Ward created 'familygrams'. He wrote these monthly and sent them to the families of crew members for the duration of the 1965 cruise. Here are pdf files of these familygrams. In the December familygram he also included an article about the USS Kaskaskia from the November 6, 1964 edition of the Mayport Mirror.
